About Us

Cub Scout Pack 55 is part of the Coweta District in the Flint River Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Founded in 1992, Pack 55 has provided a quality Cub Scout program for over 20 years thanks to all the dedicated volunteer leaders and our chartered organization, The Summit Family YMCA. Currently, we have more than 50 scouts in our pack and many trained and experienced leaders. We have also 'bridged' dozens of boys from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts where they have continued on the path to Eagle. Our Pack meetings are the 3rd Thursday of every month and are held at Canongate Elementary School at 6:30 p.m.

Mission:

For almost 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Today, these values are just as relevant in helping youth grow to their full potential as they were in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

The Boy Scouts of America provides youth with programs and activities that allow them to:

  • Try new things.
  • Provide service to others.
  • Build self-confidence.
  • Reinforce ethical standards.
